There is no way to "beat" the single player mode. I broke 2 minutes to create the 25 words, with 1:42 being my best.

The object of the game is simply to finish off a 3-letter word that is missing a vowel. The word shoots across the screen either l-to-r or r-to-l and at varying heights and speeds. You have a wagon at the bottom and a choice of 4 randomly generated vowels to load up as "rockets" to shoot at the word. If you hit the word with the wrong vowel, it bounces off. In two-player, the first to 25 wins. One-player is just a time attack to create 25 words.

Other than it refusing to give a usable vowel and some words that I'm pretty sure are actual words not being accepted, there really isn't anything major to say bad about the game. The game doesn't use the number pad (that I could tell, even though you can bring it up), so that shortfall of the translation of the controls to the PS2 doesn't come into play -- the DS seems like it would be the best system for this compilation, but I've never played that version to see for myself. Unfortunately, there's no way to reset the game and you have to quit to the game's main screen and restart it, but that only takes a few seconds, even with autosave on -- I'm not sure what exactly it saves since it doesn't keep a best time list (maybe total time playing the compilation?).

I can see this as a fun game to play against another person.
