There's really not much you can do with checkers. It has two types of games: where you try to win and where you try to lose, with 9 difficulty settings for each. It also has a two-player setting for both. I beat the computer at each type of game, but don't like checkers enough to try beating it at higher difficulty settings.

The controls are extremely hit-or-miss on this as there were several times where I had to try several times before it acknowledged my moving the cursor. It is nice that it alerts you to the fact that you have a jump and won't let you make any other move. It's also nice that you have to confirm when the computer makes its move so you are guaranteed to see what move it made. Unless I missed it, you will always go first against the computer, which is a definite negative.

All in all, if you don't feel like pulling out an actual checker board, this is a decent option.
