I got the "bad" ending, and while it interested me enough to get through it, thanks in large part to stumbling into the secret room that gives you 99 Credits, I really have no desire to try to figure out what you need to do to get the full ending. This is the first Bubble Bobble game I've played and it took me a bit to be able to use the parasol with a decent level of skill.

It has a decent number of stages, but too many of the stages are either way too easy or have some gimmick that took me a while to figure out what was needed to clear the stage. There are plenty of secrets hidden to rack up a super high score. Almost all the bosses are on the easy side (I didn't fight the real boss since that would involve getting the full ending). It got annoying how you can jump up through the walls. One nice thing about this release is that if you play it on a TurboDuo or with a Turbo Booster, it will save your high score list (I think one version of the Turbo Booster includes memory for saving game data).

I have one other game in the franchise (Bubble Bobble featuring Rainbow Islands), so I'll have to play that one before deciding if I want to seek out more games, since this one didn't sell me on them.
