This was my 4th or 5th time beating this game. It makes up half of my favorite standard RPG of all time -- M&M: World of Xeen. I went with a party other than the default for the first time. About the only thing that I can say bad about it is that the music does get old pretty fast.
If you decide to play this game for the first time, the default party is perfectly suited to what's needed to beat the game. If you want to change it up, make sure you have a Sorcerer in your party as you WILL need to have access to the Teleport spell in several locations. Otherwise, you will be reliant on lucking out and finding items that can cast it, as well as ones that can cast Recharge Item. I didn't have a Sorcerer and I had to make several trips back to the Tavern to swap out one of my characters for the Sorcerer from the default party for most of these situations. Fortunately, I did find an item that can cast Teleport. Otherwise, I probably would have just restarted the game.
