I ended up with 177/185 points.
Although the release I played from is the Netherlands' release of the King's Quest Collection, everything's in English.
It really wasn't too difficult. I did have to look up a few things, but only because I wasn't using the correct command to accomplish what I was trying to do. It does not support a mouse, so everything is text commands. The "manual" for this release does not have a list of commands, and the help screen isn't all that useful -- I'm not sure what the manuals for other releases contain. None of the necessary "puzzles" had arcane solutions, and the only things that would fall into that category just get you some extra points.
